Round 7 Results

Carly’s mobile Beauty Netball Report Girls keep coming up against difficult opposition every week, they did last week and it was a tough game. A win is just around the corner. 19s Hammers took on Skye in the first of a triple header at Peterson St Reserve, coming out all guns blazing we skipped to a big lead at half time through some great work from Cam Lee, Harvey Little, Josh Vittri and Frothy Beer. Big Josh Lees was in the thick of it again feeding to his rovers exceptionally. Will Manson had a great game but it was Zac Allen again proving a handfull up forward slamming home 7 majors to get the hammers a win. Reserves Coming up against a very well drilled Skye Reserve team was always going to difficult. The boys really weren’t in it by half time but during the 3rd quarter played some great footy and actually outscored them. Leigh Lighten was a standout along with Hayden and Benny Thorpe. Skye prevailed in the end, showing the level the boys need to get too. Seniors Well, we really have come back to the pack after losing to Skye on our turf. Hammers had the lead all day, we kicked more goals all day but costly errors and selfish football will always get you in the end. Scotty Fiora up forward was again the best on ground snagging 4, as did Joel. Franksy had a crack as we expect and Grovey pulled out his best game for some time in his 100th game (well done mate) but it was left up to too little to get the job done. With a lot of players out injured and coming back into the team in the next few weeks it is a priority that you get to training and keep your spot. We look forward to playing Doveton at their ground this week.
